Liana DeLoid is the principal and founder of Engaging Nutrition. Liana is known for her energy, passion for nutrition and commitment to the families she serves. She provides her clients with the tools and knowledge necessary to implement healthy lifestyle changes through proper nutrition. She works with families dealing with the challenges such as picky eaters, food allergies, digestive issues, weight concerns, and much more.
Liana has over ten years experience counseling families on nutrition and lifestyle change. She has worked at Boston Children’s Hospital since 2008 as a clinical nutrition specialist both on an inpatient basis and in an outpatient setting.
Liana’s private nutrition practice also provides informative nutrition seminars and healthy eating workshops to schools & teachers, camps, and sports clinics.
Liana earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Nutrition from the University of New Hampshire and a Master’s degree in Nutrition and Health Promotion from Simmons College. Liana has been a member of the American Dietetic Association for over ten years.

Melanie Connolly is a contributing writer to Engaging Nutrition. She is a Registered Dietitian and Certified Nutrition Support Clinician. Melanie teaches nutrition part-time at three Boston area universities (Northeastern University, Regis College, and Framingham State University). She worked at Boston Children’s Hospital for five years and specializes in pediatric nutrition.
Melanie earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Biochemistry from Memorial University of Newfoundland, Newfoundland, Canada and a Master’s Degree in Applied Human Nutrition from the University of Guelph, Ontario, Canada.
